Václav Strýhal has a track record of fifteen years of managerial practice in commercial and investment banking, of which more than nine years heading Financial Institutions and Securities divisions of Bank Austria Creditanstalt, today UniCredit Bank. Then, he served as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CRA Rating Agency (resp. Moody‘s Central Europe).

His relevant experience includes comprehensive management of relationships with, and services for, the world’s largest commercial and investment banks (Lloyds TSB Bank, CIBS Oppenheimer, Garban Europe, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Nordea) in Central and Eastern Europe and provision of global investment services for major domestic financial institutions. His responsibilities included the system of assessing the financial standing/credit rating of foreign and domestic financial institutions and preparation of syndicated bank loans and/or participation in syndicated loans for domestic and foreign companies/financial institutions.

At VGD Corporate Finance, Václav Strýhal was also responsible for M&A and structured finance projects for Lumen International group, Fezko, investor group led by PCTC Management (acquisition of Strunal), CAC Leasing, Miele, Spolchemie, Trifid International/ C.S. Cargo Holding.

Václav Strýhal graduated from the Commerce and Business Faculty in Karviná and his MBA was conferred on him by Nottingham Trent University, UK. He is a long-standing member of the Czech National Bank’s (SEC Section) Appeal Committee. He is fluent in German and English.
